Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: Washing method and system are provided to minimize the environmental influence of the method and the system by reusing filters and reducing the number of scrapped filters. CONSTITUTION: A chemical composition, which is sufficient to dissolve and eliminate at least part of particles or precipitates from surfaces containing the particles or the precipitates, is in contact with surfaces containing particles or precipitates. The chemical composition is a chemical solution or a chemical mixture and includes liquid, vapor, or gas. The surfaces are selected from porous surfaces, cartridge filtering medium, pleated or membrane filters, tank or filter housing inner walls. The particles or the precipitates are silica, alumina, cerium oxide, metal and metal oxide, organic particles, or the mixture of the same.
