Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A biphenyl compound is provided to reduce the generation of glycation end products, and to have treating effect to the complication of diabetes mellitus, the effect of increasing occulidine, and the effect of decreasing anglogenic growth factor. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a biphenyl compound comprises: a step of obtaining the extract of osteomeles schwerinae by extracting osteomeles schwerinae by water, alcohol or their mixture; a step of suspense the osteomeles schwerinae into water, and obtaining osteomeles schwerinae n-hexane acetate, and acetate n-butanol fractions; a step of separating and purifying the active fractions through silica gel column chromatography to the ethylacetate of the osteomeles schwerinae; and a step of separating and purifying the compound in chemical formula 1 through sephadex LH-20 column chromatography of the active fractions.
