CRASH CUSHION APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device is provided to safely stop a vehicle in a vehicle collision by absorbing collision energy through frictional force. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device comprises multiple support frames, a rear support(200), a guardrail connecting device(400), a shock absorbing tank(500), and wire ropes(600). The support frames have reinforcing members and wire clip units. The reinforcing members are installed between first and second horizontal beams. The wire clip units are installed under the first horizontal beam and connect the wire rope to the support frames. The rear support has a vertical beam. The guardrail connecting device is composed of guardrails and fixing members. The guardrails are installed on both side surfaces of the support frames. The fixing members movably fix the guardrails to the support frames. The shock absorbing tank has a front tank(430) and multiple cushion tanks(450). The cushion tanks are installed between the support frames. The wire ropes connect the support frames to the rear support to guide the linear movement of the support frames.
