Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A producing method of a rosin-modified alkyl phenol resin, and a rubber composition for treads containing thereof are provided to improve the matter property of the alkyl phenol resin by modifying the alkyl phenol resin with specific rosin. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a rosin-modified alkyl phenol resin comprises the following steps: producing an alkyl phenol novolak resin by reacting alkyl phenol and formaldehyde under the presence of a catalyst; and adding rosin into the alkyl phenol novolak resin, and reacting the mixture. The catalyst is selected from oxalic acid, sulfonic acid, hydrochloric acid, or nitric acid. The molar ratio of the alkyl phenol and formaldehyde is 1:0.3-1.
