Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A mutant strain which produces itaconic acid of high concentration is provided to prevent intracellular accumulation of itaconic acid and to obtain the itaconic acid of high yield. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing itaconic acid-producing strain of high productivity comprises: a step of inducing mutation of a strain; a step of selecting strains with reduced catabolite repression; a step of inducing mutation of the strain; and a step of selecting strains with enhanced membrane permeability. The strain is Aspergillus terreus 2DRNR(KACC 93094P). A method for producing itaconic acid comprises: a step of culturing the mutant strain; and a step of collecting the itaconic acid from the culture liquid.
