Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing zinc sulfide nano-wires coated with a protective silica film and the zinc sulfide nano-wires manufactured by the same are provided to improve the light emitting characteristic of the zinc sulfide nano-wires by implementing a coating process and a thermal treating process. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing zinc sulfide nano-wires includes the following: Zinc sulfide nano-wires are formed by thermal vaporizing zinc sulfide powder using a gold thin film as a catalyst. Silica is coated on the zinc sulfide nano-wires based on one selected from a sol-gel method, a heating method, a solution-based method, a chemical vapor depositing method, an atom laminating method, and a sputtering method. The silica coated zinc sulfide nano-wires are thermally treated.
