Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A passometer function performance method and apparatus thereof are provided to reduce power consumption by receiving acceleration data through an acceleration sensor unit. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(110) periodically decodes acceleration data created by an acceleration sensor unit. When the stop state of a portable terminal is confirmed, the control unit changes a normal mode into a sleep mode. The control unit informs the information of a sleep mode conversion to the acceleration sensor unit. The control unit receives an interrupt signal from the acceleration sensor unit. The control unit changes the sleep mode into the normal mode. The control unit decodes the acceleration data.
