Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: An electronic device and a method for controlling the electronic device are provided to supply information between electronic devices by controlling a different electronic device through a specific electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) communicates with a plurality of external electronic devices. A control unit(180) provides information about connection state with a plurality of external electronic devices. The control unit displays an GUI(Graphic User interface) for performing a control operation related with the connection state on a touch screen. The communication unit communicates with a plurality of external electronic devices through a DLNA(Digital Living Network Alliance) network. The GUI includes a plurality of areas corresponding to the plurality of external electronic devices for providing information about the connection state pre every external electronic device.
