Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an operation control method thereof are provided to help a user input a character by comparing a reference coordinate value with the coordinate value of a point. CONSTITUTION: In a mobile terminal and an operation control method thereof, a display unit(151) shows a motion-screen. A controller(180) sets the coordinate value of ten points as a reference coordinate value when ten points are touched. The controller display a short message input window in a certain region of the display unit. The controller compares touch values and a reference value and displays a determined character based on a comparison result.
