Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A function supplying method of a portable terminal and apparatus thereof are provided to generate a layer capable of touch command input on a screen and to execute an input function through a layer. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(300) displays a fog screen having a fog effect in a gesture launcher mode. The display unit displays an object corresponding to an input gesture in a transparent mode. A controlling unit(500) holds an input function when sensing an event by an event inputting unit. The controlling unit controls the display of the fog screen. The controlling unit controls the function operation of a portable terminal.
