Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a silica pellet is provided to improve the compressive intensity and the high temperature intensity of the silica pellet by mixing silica powder, a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution, and a tetraethly orthosilicate(TEOS) aqueous solution. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a silica pellet includes the following: Silica powder of 10-200um particle diameter, a polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution, and a TEOS aqueous solution or silica sol are mixed. The mixture is aged at the room temperature. The aged material is pelletized using a briquetting machine. The pelletized material is dried. The amounts of the polyvinyl alcohol aqueous solution and the TEOS aqueous solution or the silica sol are respectively 1-10 parts by weight of the weight of the silica powder.
