Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method for changing the operation mode of an electric device and a device thereof are provided to eliminate an additional wiring work when the operation mode of a light device is changed, thereby making a usage environment simple. CONSTITUTION: A power switch(410) turns power on/off wherein the power is supplied from a power supply unit. A mode counter(430) counts the on/off frequency of supplied power. A substation machine(420) converts external power into power suitable for an electric device(450). The electric device operates based on a signal outputted from a mode operator(440). A power maintaining unit(480) measures currents using power which is outputted from the substation machine.
