LOCALIZATION SYSTEM USING ACTIVE SENSOR TAG WITH AGPS

PURPOSE: A location verification system using the location-based active sensor tag is provided to efficiently check and manage a distribution location with active information transfer in a wide yard and to efficiently confirm locations of children, handicapped people or elderly people in the sheltered housing and protective areas. CONSTITUTION: A central supporting server, and an AGPS based active sensor tag, in which a gateway and a GPS support positioning function are loaded, are included. In the central supporting server, observation information for satellites is stored and the central supporting server builds a database of positioning information on a subject person to confirm the location transmitted the AGPS based active sensor tag. The gateway is arranged to function as a medium mediating communications between the central supporting server and the AGPS based active sensor tag, and receives and transmits satellite observation information from the central supporting server upon request of satellite observation information in the AGPS based active sensor tag. The AGPS based active sensor tag is attached to or owned by the subject person to confirm the location, reads location information on the subject person to confirm the location sent to the satellite with the loaded GPS support positioning function, sends the positioning information to the central supporting server on a real time basis through the gateway and informs of a current location of the subject person to confirm the location.
