Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A fixing device, an image forming apparatus having the same, and a control method thereof are provided to arrange a sub heating unit inside a heating member. CONSTITUTION: A heating member(110) has a main heating unit(111) and a sub heating unit(112). The heating member transfers heat to a recording medium. An induction coil(140) has the same width as the width of the recording medium or smaller width than that of the recording medium. The induction coil is arranged in the axial direction of the heating member. The induction coil generates a magnetic field. The sub heating unit heats both sides of the main heating unit.
