HYBRID REMOTE METER READING SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A remote metering system and a metering method thereof are provided to implement one integrated metering system by simultaneously connecting a power line communication module with a CDMA communication module. CONSTITUTION: An electronic watt-hour meter(100) is installed in a consumer and generates metering data. A data transmitting device(200) collects the metering data from the electronic watt-hour meter. A remote metering server(300) receives metering data from the data transmitting device. The data transmitting device includes a power line communication module and a binary CDMA communication module. The data transmitting device performs the power line communication with a part of the electronic watt-hour meters and the binary CDMA communication with the other electronic watt-hour meters. The data transmitting device collects the metering data from a plurality of electronic watt-hour meters and transmits the metering data to a remote metering server.
