Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for providing bookmark service in a communication terminal are provided to establish a favicon as a bookmark. CONSTITUTION: A controller(700) checks the existence of a favicon in a website. If a favicon exists in the website, the controller establishes the favicon as a bookmark for the website. If the favicon does not exist in the website, the controller selects one icon among the pre stored icon. The controller establishes the selected icon as the bookmark of the website. The controller acquires the favicon using a metadata of the website or the route for a website server.
