Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method of diagnosing the lack of cooling water is provided to prevent overheat or engine failure due to the lack of cooling water by determining the lack of cooling water through the temperature change of cooling water changing over time. CONSTITUTION: A method of diagnosing the lack of cooling water comprises next steps. After an engine starts, it is checked whether the temperature of cooling water when the engine stops is over a given temperature(S1). If yes, it is determined whether a start switch is ON(S2). The temperature change of cooling water from the stop of the engine to the ON of the start switch is monitored. The temperature of cooling water when the start switch is ON is modeled to calculate the temperature of the cooling water(S3). The measured temperature of the cooling water when the start switch is ON is compared with the modeled temperature of the cooling water(S4). If the measured temperature is lower, it is determined that the cooling water is deficient(S5).
