PREDICTION AND SENSING APPARATUS FOR FROZENING OF ROAD

PURPOSE: A system for estimating and detecting frosting of road surface is provided to prevent car accidents by informing a driver of road condition through VMS. CONSTITUTION: A system for estimating and detecting frosting of road surface comprises a control module(21), a storage module(23), a resistance output module(25), a temperature output module(27), and a condition sensing module(31). The storage module stores the location of the objects in which electrode terminal are buried. The electrode terminal is installed in the road for resistance measurement. The storage module stores the resistance set value determining the existence of water or ice on a road. The resistance output module is connected to the resistance detection unit and produces a resistance value. The temperature output module is connected to an ambient temperature system and produces temperature. A condition sensing module determines the existence of water or ice on a road.
