GAS FLOW PROPORTIONAL COUNTING RADIATION DETECTOR FAULT CHECKING CIRCUIT AND METHOD FOR WHOLE BODY CONTAMINATION MONITOR

PURPOSE: A body monitoring device and a circuit and method for inspecting the defects of a gas-flow-proportional counter type radiation detector are provided to ensure the normal operation of the body monitoring device by quickly checking the state of the radiation detector. CONSTITUTION: A circuit for inspecting the defect of a gas-flow-proportional counter type radiation detector comprises a D/A converter(220), a counter(260) and a control processor(230). The D/A converter controls a high-voltage power circuit(210) according to the instruction of the control processor. The D/A converter supplies an abnormal bias voltage that is higher than normal bias voltage to the radiation detector. The counter counts pulse output from the radiation detector. The control processor inspects the state of the radiation detector using the counted data. If the counted data is below enumerated data, the control processor determines the radiation detector to be abnormal.
