Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to improve the display quality by reducing phase delay phenomenon thereby reducing contrast rate reduction or light leakage phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A display apparatus comprises an insulating substrate, a pixel electrode on a first insulating substrate, a plurality of orientation parts(AN), an auxiliary liquid crystal layer including discotic liquid crystal on the pixel electrode and orientation parts, and a main liquid crystal layer(360) including perpendicular alignment mode formed on the auxiliary liquid crystal layer. A common electrode formed on the main liquid crystal layer applies electric field to the main liquid crystal layer and pixel electrode. A second insulating substrate is formed on the common electrode.
