Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method for neighbor discovery in a directional MAC, and a node thereof are provided to perform neighboring discovery operation when a node has a directional antenna. CONSTITUTION: A timer(120) manages and informs not only a control time but also a reception mode standby time in a node. A signal reception unit(130) receives a signal transmitted from a peripheral neighboring node in a reception standby mode. A reception signal analysis unit(150) detects the signal received form the peripheral neighboring node, and a neighboring position information management unit(160) registers the information on the neighboring node detected by the reception signal analysis unit to a neighboring position information table, and manages the registered information.
