VEHICLE SURROUNDING INFORMATION SERVICE SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An apparatus for providing information about the road around a vehicle is provided to enhance safety while a driver drives or a passenger gets off, since after the grooves or puddles are detected from the road, the high angle image of a top view is supplied through a notice unit. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for providing information about the road around a vehicle comprises an image taking unit(10), a vehicle information acquiring unit(40), an electronic processing unit(20) and a notice unit(30). The image taking unit takes the images around the vehicle. The vehicle information acquiring unit acquires vehicle state information. The electronic processing unit processes the images, which have been taken by the image taking unit, and generates high angle images. The electronic processing unit extracts feature points from the generated high angle images. The electronic processing unit determines the objects or the grooves of the road based on the movement of the feature points and the vehicle state information.
