THERMAL STORAGE SYSTEM FOR HEAT PUMP

PURPOSE: A thermal storage system for a heat pump is provided to improve heating-cooling efficiency by reduction in the peak load of a heat pump cooling and heating system. CONSTITUTION: A thermal storage system(100) for a heat pump comprises a thermal storage tank, a first discharge line, a first supply line(120), a second discharge line(140), a second supply line(150), and a controller. The thermal storage tank comprises a temperature partition. Hot water and cold water stored in the tank are separated by the temperature partition. The temperature partition moves inside the tank according to the inflow of the hot and cold water. The first discharge line discharges the stored water. The first supply line supplies the water which is heated or cooled by the heat pump. The second discharge line discharges the stored water to the heap pump. The second supply line supplies the water which is heated or cooled in facility. The controller opens and closes valves, formed in the first supply line, the first discharge line, the second supply line, and the second discharge line, according to sensing signals received from a proximity sensor formed in the thermal storage tank.
