Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A shovel for picking plants and a manufacturing method thereof are provided, which enables a user to pick the root of a plant with a small power without damage of the root. CONSTITUTION: A shovel for picking plants comprises: a hollow body part(30) formed in the longitudinal direction; a concave shovel blade(31) which is integrally formed in the bottom of the body portion; and a finish part(34) in which a screw thread is formed. The shovel blade inclines against the body portion at the constant angle. The shovel blade includes a front blade(32) and a side blade(33). In the upper inner wall of the body portion, a screw groove is formed.
