CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF SIDE OPENING AREA IN CARGO TANK OF MEMBRANE LNG SHIP

PURPOSE: A construction method of a side opening area in a cargo tank of a membrane LNG ship is provided to reduce construction time of a membrane LNG ship by minimizing a side opening area work. CONSTITUTION: A construction method of a side opening area in a cargo tank of a membrane LNG ship is as follows. Panels and memrane sheets are installed in a tank without a side opening part. Temporally pieces are welded in the side opening part. A scaffold, installed in the tank without the side opening part, is removed. A pre-manufactured side opening unit block is inserted into the side opening part and is welded. The welded part is painted. Penetratino pipes are connected using a bent connection pipe. A special panel is connected between the temporally pieces.
