Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: A method and a system for fabricating oxide coatings on magnesium alloys are provided to ensure the high corrosion resistance since environment-friendly electrolyte and electrochemical plasma oxidation coating process is applied and ceramic oxide coating is formed on the surface of magnesium alloy. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating oxide coatings on magnesium alloys is as follows. The foreign material and the corroded oxide layer of the surface of magnesium alloy are removed. After the magnesium alloy is dipped in alkali electrolyte(30), AC(Alternating Current) pulse is applied and a magnesium oxide film is formed on the surface of the magnesium alloy. The magnesium alloy with the magnesium oxide film is washed and dried by the distilled water.
