Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: Insulation asphalt for ocean floor cables is provided to secure the waterproof function of the asphalt when being spread on the surface of the ocean floor cables, and to prevent the coming-off of the ocean floor cables. CONSTITUTION: Insulation asphalt(12) for ocean floor cables(10) has the penetration rate of 10~30 using a needle with the roughness at 25 deg C of 0.2~0.3 microns. The elongation rate of the insulation asphalt is 40~60 centimeters at 15 deg C. Te elongation rate of the asphalt means the flexibility when extending both ends of a sample with a prefixed speed.
