Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An edge dam of a twin roll type strip caster is provided to maintain the edge form of slab by preventing the mixing of molten steel with coagulating agent. CONSTITUTION: An edge dam of a twin roll type strip caster comprises a natural disposition refractory(1) and a sealing plate(2). The natural disposition refractory keeps the overall structure of an edge dam. The sealing plate adheres closely to both side of a casting roll. The sealing plate is made of more than two materials with different hardness and thermal conductivity. The edge dam is installed in both side part of the casting roll and stores molten steel between a pair of roll of castings.
