LEVEL ADJUSTING METHOD FOR DENT & CRACK PREVENTION OF SHIP BLOCK

PURPOSE: A method of adjusting the gap between the setting members of a ship block is provided to enable safe work even under overweight and to prevent the dent and the crack by constructing a plane contact pad jig as a polyethylene pad jig. CONSTITUTION: A method of adjusting the gap between the setting members of a ship block is as follows. The fixed end of a hydraulic jack piece jig(10) is welded to the gap adjusting member(3) for which gap adjustment is required. In order that the upper part of the bottom plate(1) of a main board make a plane contact with the side plate(2) of the main board, a plane contact pad jig(30) is located in place. A hydraulic jack(20) is installed between the inner surface of the other end of the hydraulic jack piece jig and the plane contact pad jig. The hydraulic jack is operated. By pulling the other end of the hydraulic jack piece jig and setting the gap adjusting member fixed to the fixed end of the hydraulic jack piece jig to a given place, the gap is adjusted.
