TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING URL INFORMATION USING WIRELESS TERMINAL AND PROXY SERVER AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A transmission system for providing URL information using a wireless terminal and a proxy server and a method thereof are provided to enable a user to receive detailed information through a separate wireless terminal in real time if the user wants to read the detailed information about the specific object of the broadcast contents. CONSTITUTION: An STB(Set Top Box)(200) stores URL information of specific objects included in broadcast contents. The STB receives a selection signal about one specific object. The STB extracts the URL information of the specific object corresponding to the selection signal. A proxy server(600) receives the URL information and transmits the detailed information to the STB. A wireless terminal(130) receives the detailed information. The wireless terminal displays the received detailed information.
