Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An inter-carrier interference suppression apparatus in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing receiver and a method for the same are provided to obtain a diversity effect by averaging sample data of a protective domain without an ISI and a effective domain. CONSTITUTION: An inter-symbol interference free domain estimating unit(110) estimate the number of sample included in a domain without ISI at a protective interval of an OFDM symbol. An FFT sampling data controlling part(120) computes a predetermined calculation value of sample data at a domain without ISI and a effective domain. The FFT sampling data controlling part constitutes FFT input data by positioning the calculated calculation value at the fixed position of the effective symbol interval. The FFT calculation unit(130) performs FFT calculation of FFT input data.
