This device (D) comprises management means (MG) responsible, in the presence of a stream of multimedia contents to be transmitted, for determining, in real time, complementary contents to be inserted at chosen places of this stream, from among a set of complementary contents each associated with a predefined profile and possibly at least partially contained in this stream, and as a function of at least one criterion pertaining to part at least of the profiles.
