Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: An IP address searching method using a bloom filter and a multi-hashing structure and an apparatus thereof are provided to commonly use a plurality of hashing indexes as a pointer of the bloom filter and a hashing table, thereby reducing the frequency of hashing. CONSTITUTION: A prefix outputted from a buffering unit(310) is hashed so that hashing hardware(320) generates hashing indexes. A bloom filter(330) determines whether the output prefix is an entry of a hashing table using the hashing indexes. If the determining result of the bloom filter is positive, a processor(340) outputs a prefix matched with the output prefix.
