Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A dictionary for rapid search is provided to enable any user to recognize the approximate position of an entry word without opening the dictionary. CONSTITUTION: A dictionary for rapid search includes an index. The index comprises a first vowel and consonant region mark which indicates the page where the first vowel and consonant of a desired entry word starts, a second vowel and consonant region mark which indicates the pages containing entry words started with the second vowel and consonant of the desired entry word within each first vowel and consonant region, and a third vowel and consonant mark which indicates the page where the third vowel and consonant of the desired entry word starts within the second vowel and consonant region.
