Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A composition containing dried powder and extract of chub mackerel fraction is provided to reduce total cholesterol and blood triglyceride content. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hyperlipidemia contains 0.1-50 weight% of dried powder or extract of chub mackerel fraction as an active ingredient. The fraction of the chub mackerel is head, cartilage, shell, muscle, eye, gill, total body of the fish. A method for preparing the dried powder of chub mackerel fraction comprises: a step of washing and removing foreign material and salt from the chub mackerel; and a step of cutting head, cartilage, shell, muscle, eye, gill, and total body. The extract is isolated using water, alcohol and spirit extract solvent.
