Zusammenfassung:	A command value from a control device (6) operated by an operator is inputted into a controller (4), and a rotation speed detector (8) connected to the controller (4) detects the speed of an engine (2) and sends the detected speed to the controller (4). A display device (10) connected to the controller (4) display modes.The following signals are inputted into the display device (10): a signal indicative of detection of connection of a detector for detecting operation of a normal-reverse switching valve for switching between scavenging timings in normal rotation and reverse rotation, a signal indicative of detection of connection of a detector for detecting operation of a start-up switching valve installed in a pipe path from a compressed-air source to a cylinder, and a signal sent from the controller (4) and indicating the condition of a rotation speed increase step or a rotation speed decrease step. The display device (10) has a control sequence mode for displaying the condition of the normal-reverse switching valve or the start-up switching valve, the speed of the engine, and the rotation speed increase step.
