ROBOT TO CHECK ELECTRIC WIRE

PURPOSE: A robot for inspecting an electric wire is provided to inspect and repair a wire while moving along a wire without adding labor force. CONSTITUTION: A robot for inspecting an electric wire comprises a rotating ball(22), a moving motor(20), a power supply unit(30), a GPS(Global Positioning System)(51), a radio communication device(52), an electrical short detection sensor, and a camera(60). The rotation ball moves along the surface of a wire(10) by the power from the power supply unit. The moving motor supplies the power to the rotation ball to rotate it with closely adhered to the surface of the wire. The power supply unit supplies the power through wire and is installed in the form of a battery. The GPS finds out the location of the motor. The radio communication device transmits the location information received from the GPS to an administrator. The electrical short detection sensor detects the short of the wire and informs a controller of it. The camera photographs the damage to the wire in order to visually show it, and transfers the image to the radio communication device.
