Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to improve contrast characteristic by reducing dark brightness. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel includes scan electrodes, sustain electrodes and address electrodes. A data signal is supplied to at least one of a plurality of address electrodes for an address period of at least one subfield among a plurality of subfields. In a reset period(RP) before the address period, the data signal and a first signal(S1) are supplied to at least one address electrode to which the data signal is supplied. The size of the voltage of the first signal is equal to the size of the voltage of the data signal.
