CELL SEARCH TYPE NAVIGATION APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A cell search mode navigation apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to facilitate search of a route of shortest time from the starting point to destination in consideration of real-time traffic and distance. CONSTITUTION: A cell search mode navigation apparatus comprises an information providing part, a cell separating part, a traffic condition output part, and a route search part. The information providing part(100) provides the traffic information. The cell separating part(300) sets up a driving available region. The cell separating part separates the driving available region into cells according to the conventions. A traffic condition output part(500) produces the transport congestion on the cell using traffic information. A route search part(700) searches the route from a starting point to destination through a mode excluding the cells having the transport congestion which is over a congestion critical value.
