Zusammenfassung:An apparatus and a method for iterative detection and decoding in a multiple antenna communication system are provided to reduce complexity of a receiver by supplying an MMSE(Minimum Mean Square Error) detector using a soft-mapping method. A receiver changes a multipath signal to a signal of a frequency domain(501). The receiver initializes the number of iteration to one. An MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) detector forms a QPSK based beam in a 16QAM modulation method(503). An LLR(Log Likelihood Ratio) that is the first posterior information is generated by removing CAI(Co-Antenna Interference)(505). The receiver outputs the LLR(507). The receiver performs the channel de-interleaving about the LLR(509). The second posterior information is generated by performing an SISO(Soft-Input/Soft-Output) decoding using the de-interleaved LLR(511). The receiver compares the number of the iteration with the preset critical value(513).
