MAP INFORMATION MANAGING SYSTEM AND MAP INFORMATION DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Provided is a map information providing technique capable of maintaining freshness of map information when distributing map information. A map information providing system includes: means for updating an update map DB containing update map data used for straightening update, a providing map DB containing map data to be distributed, an update DB containing update data used for updating the providing map data, and map DB for updating the update map data when update data to be used for updating the map data in the update map DB is inputted; update data creation means which creates difference data before and after an update by the update data and stores the difference data as update data in the update DB; and data distribution means which extracts providing map data or update data stored in the providing map DB and distributes it to a providing destination system upon reception of a distribution request for the map data or the update data from the providing destination system. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
