Zusammenfassung:	A system and a method for gathering electronic documents are provided to shorten the time for document data accumulation by collecting an editing file without the interference of a user in all computers connected to an enterprise network. A server computer(100) includes a file reception module(110) and a window file system(120). A document collecting agent(240) hooks a message generated in a kernel(220) of a Windows operating system. When an event is a file storage event, the document collecting agent searches a file route of the event. The document collecting agent transmits the file to the file receiving module.
