A portable laser projector comprises a purge chamber(112), a transparent wall(114), a laser projector, and a protection wall(118). The transparent wall is formed along the purge chamber. The transparent wall is optically transparent. The laser projector is mounted within the purge chamber. The laser projector projects the laser beam through the transparent wall. The protection wall moves between a first location and a second location. The first location optically covers the transparent wall. The second location optically shows the transparent wall.
