SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LIGHT CONTROLLING IN DMX512 PROTOCOL

A system and a method for controlling the light in a DMX 512 protocol environment are provided to reduce a size of the system by excluding a dip switch for setting up a channel order of a plurality of receivers. A light control system includes a console device(1200) and a plurality of receivers(1201-1207). The console device generates a DMX 512 data packet. The DMX 512 data packet includes a channel information signal. The receiver includes an input unit, a control unit, and an output unit. The input unit receives the DMX 512 data packet from the console device. The control unit controls the brightness of the light connected to the receiver according to the channel information signal corresponding to the own channel from the DMX 512 data packet. An output unit outputs the DMX 512 data packet except the channel information signal corresponding to the own channel in the DMX 512 data packet.
