Zusammenfassung:A method of sensing a cliff for an automatic cleaner is provided to distinguish a cliff and the floor by sensing the intensity of radiation and comparing it with a reference value. A method of sensing a cliff for an automatic cleaner is comprised of the steps: a photoconductive cell measures the intensity of radiation from the floor(S100); the measured intensity of radiation is converted into an AD value(S200); the measured intensity of radiation is compared with a reference value(S300); if the result is a value of a cliff, the automatic cleaner performs obstacle evasive maneuver(S300); and it not, the automatic cleaner progress continuously(S400).
