Zusammenfassung:	A subsidiary actuating apparatus for a bicycle is provided to secure safety running and smooth running of the bicycle through an auto drive and release system using a spring and a lock device. A subsidiary actuating apparatus for a bicycle includes a mount(11a,11b), a driving motor(13), a reduction device(14), a driving roller(16), a spring(17), and a lock device. The mount is fixed to a seat tube of the bicycle and has motor supports. The driving motor is inserted into the space between the motor supports. The reduction device reduces the power of the motor and transfers the reduced power to the driving roller. The driving roller comes into contact with the tire of a rear wheel and drives the tire. The spring brings the driving roller into contact with the tire of the rear wheel all the time. The lock device restricts upward pull back of the driving roller.
