APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GUARANTEEING TRANSPORT QUALITY OF SERVICE CONTINUITY OF MOBILE TERMINALS

An apparatus for guaranteeing the continuity of transmission service quality of a mobile terminal and a method thereof are provided to maintain an IP-based multimedia service session without the deterioration of service quality although the mobile terminal moves between networks of different domains. A mobility manager(112) updates routing table information through a terminal ID and home IP address, and updates binding information and the routing table information through the terminal ID and a variable IP address. A service controller(111) manages a service session list of mobile terminals using an IP-based multimedia service, and requests a network connection controller which uses the variable IP address to reserve or allocate transmission resources required for a corresponding service session.
