Zusammenfassung:	A text selection method using a contact sensing screen of a handheld mobile communication device is provided to enhance the convenience when a user selects a character or text in a handheld electronic device. It is determined whether the first area of a touch screen is contacted by a user or not(502). The enlarged preview of the first area is indicated(503). In the first enlarged preview, a user contact is detected(504). The original display shape is reopened by the first character which is visually signified(505). The second area is detected(506). The second enlarged preview corresponding to the second area is indicated(507). In the enlarged view, the second character which is contacted by the user is detected(508). The original display shape of a text is reopened in a state that the text between the firs and second characters is visually signified as a designated text(509).
