Zusammenfassung:A hook apparatus for a sewing machine and the sewing machine are provided to reduce occurrence of noise remarkably by soft contact to a friction element. A hook apparatus for a sewing machine includes the followings: a hook including a bobbin case(21) consisting of a lifter cam(31) and a maintaining rib(22); a case lifter(33); a lifter lever(32) can be supported by the lifter cam; and a sensor(37) contacting with a control curved surface(39) which can be connected to the hook with a non-rotation state. The control curved surface includes a transition region(46) having fixed distance from an axis line(13) of the hook.
