Zusammenfassung:	A membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell is provided to uniformly supply fuel and oxidizer by improving the pore size distribution and increasing gas permeability and to improve the output characteristic of the fuel battery. A membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell comprises an anode and cathode which are faced with each other, and a solid polymer electrolyte membrane positioned between the anode and cathode. At least one of the anode and cathode comprises an electrode substrate, microporous layer formed on the electrode substrate, and catalyst layer formed on the microporous layer.
